Harvey Milman is inspired by the nuances of daily life created by time of day, weather, and surroundings. Seemingly commonplace at first glance, the moments depicted in his paintings strike a chord of recognition in the viewer, and celebrate the extraordinary character of the ordinary. Throughout his career, Milman has been the focus of several solo exhibitions, and been featured in juried group exhibition at galleries including the Lever House Gallery (NYC), the Pleiades Gallery (SoHo), the Merrill Lynch Financial Center (NYC), the Society of Illustrators Museum of American Illustration (NYC), the OSilas Gallery (Bronxville, NY), Denise Bibro Fine Art (Chelsea, NYC), and the Sandra Neustadter Gallery (Delray Beach, FL). Milman has received numerous awards for his work, including First and Second Place at the 2015 Dobbs Ferry Beaux Arts Exhibition, First and Second Place at the 2016 Bronxville Beaux Arts Exhibition, and Best in Show and First Place at the Mooney Gallery, College of New Rochelle, 2016 Color-ful Exhibition. His paintings have been acquired for the permanent collection of the Museum of the City of New York, and for a number of corporate and private collections.
